Gorgeous!

Yesterday we took a little trip up to the Pittock Mansion. It is set high up in the Northwest Hills of Portland and has the most amazing views. The mansion was gorgeous! I was impressed by how modest it seemed. Modest and mansion don't really go together... right? Wrong! Even though this house was huge it was not overly done. I thought it was very tastefully done. I would love to build a house with those kinds of views.

Could you imagine pulling up to this house every day?

This is actually the front of the house! That huge picture window has an amazing view of Portland!


The grounds were very pretty. Addy kept picking up flower petals off the ground.


It was a gorgeous day and Addy loved running around on the grass and dirt.


If you look closely you can see Mount Hood just above those clouds. What an amazing view of Portland!

We had a good time visiting the Pittock Mansion. It's so quiet and beautiful up there! It's hard to believe that it is actually located in busy Portland. Thank you library for your cultural passes!
