We are Anxiously Awaiting the Arrival of Addelyn Nicole

The nursery is finally done! We are ready! She could come tomorrow and I would be completely and totally okay with that! I sure hope that she likes her room! I know she won't care while she is little, but as she gets older, I hope she likes it. :) I also finished the quilt that I made for her today. So, really any day now!
I also hope that she loves the baby blanket that I made for her as much as I have loved (still do love) the one that my momma made for me! :D

Baby Girl Shower

May 16th Danielle Jackson and I had our joint girl baby shower! There was such a great turn out from family and friends! The hosts (Megan and Marissa) did a marvelous job coming up with games, amazing decorations, and delectable food!We got some great gifts and enjoyed everyone's company. I'm so grateful that so much of Tyler's family came to support us and show their love! It was great to see everyone! After the shower I felt more ready to have this baby! Thanks everyone for coming! And a special thanks to Megan and Marissa for putting on such a great party!!

PS... I look huge in this picture!

My other blog

Hey all you bloggerinos. This is Tyler, the other T in "T N' T." While Tara does most of the blogging, I like to throw in my two cents once and a while. For all interested - and I hinted that I was going to do this - I am starting a side blog for anyone who is interested (which probably won't be many :). This blog is going to be focused on the Harry Potter series, (which I love by the way if you didn't already know.) I've read the books countless times and I seem to gain more from them each time I read them. So, the way I'm going to proceed with the blog will be as follows:

I'm starting reading the series again, but this time, I am going to blog after every few chapters. I will be posting my thoughts, opinions, and insights into what I've read both for my personal sake (like a weird Harry journal) and for those who maybe didn't see things the same way I did while reading the series. My hope is to have you readers comment and share your own insights and thoughts and maybe even start up a lively debate. My other purpose is for all the well-intentioned folks out there who have not yet read the series (ahem, Tyler Scott) to have a good excuse to start reading them. I hope I can at least get a few people who will read them along with me and discover or rediscover the awesomeness that is Harry Potter. I won't be reading at breakneck speed, so don't feel rushed. I have had such a fun time discovering this series and want to rediscover it all over again. So please, if any of you or anyone you know would be interested in joining me, please share the link with them. The blog is up and I plan on starting the reading soon, so get ready!

Very best,

The Gryffindork

p.s. Very soon, I will be posting a critique (rant) of the Twilight series on the discoveringharry blog. Stay tuned!

Our Baby Girl

I was able to have another ultrasound yesterday! I just love ultrasounds! It's so fun to lay there and watch her move and see her little hands, feet, and nose. She is so cute! I just want to hold her already! She weighs 5 pounds and 13 ounces! She is in the 45th percentile and growing just right! I am so excited that she's right on schedule with her growth. I was a little worried with the gestational diabetes that we would end up having a large baby girl, but it sounds like she's doing just fine.

I am also growing right along schedule. My doctor always tells me that I am a very low risk patient and that he isn't worried about my pregnancy at all. How comforting! I am already 75% effaced and her little head is just waiting for the right time. I wish the next month would pass in a week! A month from today is her due date!

We are so excited to meet little miss Addelyn!

Mother's Day

It's pretty exciting to be able to celebrate Mother's Day for the first time! Even though she's still in me, I am a mother. I've been taking care of her for the past 8 1/2 months, so it works out. Tyler was very good to me on Mother's Day! Saturday he went shopping for my Mother's Day gifts. He got me beautiful flowers that smell sooo good, an extremely sweet card, the Lady GaGa CD, the new Rascal Flatts CD, a pineapple, and a pineapple corer. Later in the day we went to Target and he also let me get a cute "Welcome" mat that I have been wanting for forever. He's the best!

The picture does not do these flowers justice!

Sunday we had a bunch of our friends over and Tyler made pulled pork. I helped a little, but it was nice to not have to worry about dinner and I'm sure the other mother's appreciated it as well. It was delicious! We went over to the park after dinner and played a round of Bocce Ball, which the Jacksons dominated.

We are both so lucky to have such wonderful mothers who are such great examples!

They are both so full of love and would do anything for any of their kids. I hope that I can someday be as great of a mother as these two! Love you both!
