Addy's Quirks

Addy has many quirks about her. I never thought that someone so tiny and new to this world could have such a personality! She is so fun to watch, learn from, and play with. She has started smiling, however when I try to get a picture of it she immediately stops and proceeds when I have given up. She's a little stinker. Addy has also started cooing! She doesn't do it too often yet, but we have heard her a couple times.
This is the tail end of a smile that I managed to get!

The little quirks that Addy has:
~When she sneezes it's at least twice and usually she does a cute little sigh afterward.
~She only poops about every 5 days. (not a cute one)
~When she tries to poop in the meantime her face turns red, she straightens her legs out, grunts and screams. It's pretty cute.
~She goes cross eyed when she looks at me.

~She sleeps the best when she sleeps on her tummy... not so good. When I put her on her tummy for her "tummy time" she almost always falls asleep!
~She pulls her hair until it hurts and then screams.
~Sometimes when she is asleep she opens her eyes and makes funny faces.

We love our little girl so much!

Addelyn's Baby Blessing

On Sunday Tyler blessed Addelyn in church. We were so lucky to have so many family members here to support us for that. It was a very neat experience and very spiritual. I am so glad that both Addelyn's grandpas were able to participate in the circle. They are both so in love with their granddaughter.

Miss Addelyn in her pretty dress!

Family that was here for the blessing.

The blessing was wonderful. There was a moment that scared the men in the circle when they almost dropped my baby! Apparently the people holding her bum were holding it lower than her head. She slid down and luckily landed in her great-grandpa B's lap! I wonder how many times that has happened and if anyone has ever been dropped! Being the good baby that she is she was just a little flustered, didn't make a peep, and went right back to sleep!

I want to thank everyone that was there! Thanks for showing all your love and support. We love you all!

Loves the Pool... Just Like Her Momma!

On Saturday we took Addy swimming for the first time with her Aunts and Uncles! I was very surprised that she did not scream when her little toes hit the water. She seemed to enjoy it even though it was cooling off for the night. I am excited to take her back out to the pool when it's hot out!

She's such a babe in her little swimsuit!

The Prestigious White Coat

On Friday Tyler received his white coat from OHSU. Having just completed his first year they will be spending more time in the Lab throughout the next 3 years. The white coat is kind of worthless to a dental student... they wear them in their group huddles. However, the white coat is symbolic of becoming a doctor and working with patients. We are so proud of Tyler!

This is how Addy was throughout the whole ceremony... so good!

Not so Little Anymore

Addelyn is getting so big! I cannot believe she turned a month old yesterday! She is so fun to have around. We love just sitting and watching her. She has some pretty funny faces, especially when she's sleeping. I took her to get her pictures taken today. She was so good for them! She was even awake... very lucky! Here's a slide show... and if you want to see the pictures just click on the slide show.

Relaxin' in Hermi Town

Tyler had a week off between his 1st and 2nd year of dental school. We decided to go to Hermiston for the week to show Addelyn off to Tyler's family. Addelyn was so good in the car! She slept almost the whole way there... needed a bottle about 1/2 way through. She was pooped after the long drive.

While we were in Hermiston we had a nice relaxing time. We visited Dad at the office twice, and Mom showed Addelyn off to Glenda, and some some others that work around their office. Everyone just loved her! She was being pretty cute for them. We made a couple trips to Tri-cities. I was able to learn how to can cherries and make jam! I feel confident that I could now do it on my own! I'm excited about that! Thanks Momma B! Addelyn hung out in her carseat and just watched.

She is getting chunky, as is evident in this picture! She has outgrown a lot of her newborn clothes already.

I finally got my hair cut after having wanted to do it for a couple months! I like it and am very happy with it. It definitely needed to be majorly thinned and it now feels so good!

On the fourth we hand washed our car, played some games, went to a barbecue with friends and family, and then watched the fireworks! Hermiston has a pretty good show for being a small town. Addelyn was surprisingly good throughout the fireworks. She didn't even jump or cry at the big booms. She was awake at the beginning and then fell asleep towards the end.

We came home today (Sunday). Addelyn slept the whole way! She has been doing so good. The past two nights she has slept so well. She's starting to only wake up once! Friday night she slept until 5 am and Saturday night she slept until 6:15. I am loving it! She is growing and changing everyday. We love her so much!

One Down... Three to Go!

Tyler has finished his first year of dental school! It went by pretty fast and he is now officially a Second Year Dental Student. He will get to do more lab work and have more patients this year, so he is excited about that. We are so proud of him and impressed with his hard work and determination to do well. Congrats babe!
