Moving Day

We got back from Utah late Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday we spent all day packing, and Saturday morning we were up and ready to move! The truck loading went smoother than we anticipated! We had to park our moving truck at the gas station across the street because our driveway is insanely steep and the parking lot is super small so the truck would have gotten stuck one way or another! We had a pickup and the Tahoe. They would fill them up, drive them across the street, and unload and do it all over again! Luckily, we had so much help! It went faster than anticipated and everything fit! Luckily we had the Tahoe for our more fragile stuff that we didn't want to get damaged. We cleaned up and handed over our keys. We then drove the 3 hours to Hermiston, pulled up to our storage unit and unloaded all our belongings.

Our last meal in our apartment, Panda Express.

Last night in our apartment.

Right before we left... so empty!

All packed in and ready to go!

Our huge truck!

As small as it was, our apartment suited us well for the last 2 years of dental school.  It was hard to leave.  I still don't think it has fully sunk in that we officially live in Hermiston.  Since we are living with Tyler's parents it just kind of feels like we are on an extended vacation.

A Little Time in Utah

We spent a few days in Utah after our Florida trip. It was good to see my family. We went up to the canyon and had a picnic on one of the days. A lot of wildfires were going on at the time. It's so sad, but it made for some very pretty sky.

Florida Day 8

Our final day! We had to be checked out of the house by 11 and our flights didn't leave until 5:30. So, we got all our luggage loaded into the Traverse. Imagine 7 mid-size suitcases, 7+ carry-ons, and 7 adults in a midsize SUV. There was luggage EVERYWHERE! I wish I would have gotten a picture of it. After getting checked out we headed over to the Fun Spot. It's basically like a perma-carnival. They had go carts (with 3 levels!), a mini roller coaster, bumper cars, tilt-a-whirl, and lots more!

This was one of the rides.  It swings you back and forth and you end up so the rod is parallel to the ground!  My seat harness wasn't tight enough, so I felt like I was slipping out... I hated it! haha
After the Fun Spot we headed to Olive Garden for some lunch and then to the airport.  We headed to Utah to see my family for a few days and see our Addy girl!  We were fortunate enough to have my mom, dad, sisters, and brothers take care of Addy for us.  She did not ask about us once, but instead asked about her friend, Alexa. :)  She had a blast and talks about them constantly!

What a great trip!  We had such a great time!  Thank you Mom and Dad B for taking us on such a fun trip!  Thanks to Tyler for working so hard in dental school and earning such an awesome trip!  Thanks to Uncle Curt for hooking us up so we could do so many fun things in a week!

Florida Day 7

I was super excited for this day! We went to Busch Gardens! This is where my family went many times growing up when we went to Florida.
We got to pet some kangaroos, ride some awesome rides, see some shows... all before it started pouring and they closed the rides!  There was tons of lightening and thunder and sheets and sheets of rain!

We had to take shelter on the way out.  When the rain let up some we made a run for the car!  We were soaked!  On the way home stopped and picked up some pizzas for dinner.  After dinner we just hung out and relaxed a bit.

Florida Day 6

In the morning the men went golfing and us girls just relaxed by the pool and read books. It was nice to have a relaxing morning!

When the guys got home we headed off to go on an air boat ride. It was so fun! I am so glad that this was one of the things we decided to do. It was raining off and on and we weren't sure if we would be able to go or not, but it worked out, and we had a blast!  The boat was amazingly smooth and just glides over the water and weeds.  We saw many alligators and had a great time!

This little guy was our friend.  We saw lots more like him out on the water.

Group picture with Mr. Alligator.  Right before this was taken he peed... luckily I was holding him out far enough that I just got a little splash. Sick!

If you look super close there's a little tiny baby alligator by my thumb!

After the boat ride Tyler's Uncle Ron and Aunt Kathy had to leave for the airport to get back.  After we said our goodbyes the rest of us headed off to play some mini golf.  I have to brag a little, okay a lot, I got 2 hole in ones!  AND I was the only one to get any!  I rock!

Me celebrating after my first hole in one!

Florida Day 5

Today was a day spent at Cape Canaveral, Florida.  We toured the Kennedy Space Center and had a VIP tour of the buildings they use to assemble the rockets.  Super cool!  We got to experience a simulation of a rocket taking off... super bumpy, but super cool!

The raise the gray doors up to get the rockets out.  Fits like a glove!

Apollo 5 space shuttle!

The van they use to get the astronauts out the the launch pad.

The teeny opening up there is where they pass rocket pieces through with a crane to be assembled on the other side.

The actual control room used for many space shuttle launches, including Apollo 13!

Neil Armstrong's actual space suit.

A piece of the moon!

After the Space Center we went to a Mystery Dinner Theater show.  It was a lot of fun!  It was an 80th Birthday theme!

Florida Day 4

We stopped by Downtown Disney on our way back to Islands of Adventure. Disney is great! At the huge Disney store they have an area where girls can go in and get there hair and makeup done and wear a princess dress. They then have a princess parade where all these beautiful girls get to show off their cute new do's. It made me miss Addy! She would have absolutely LOVED to do something like that!

After Downtown Disney we headed back to Universal and Islands of Adventure.  Another visit to Harry Potter land included more butter beer and dinner at The 3 Broomsticks.  We had an upclose look at the actual dress that Hermoine wore in the movie!  You can purchase a replica for $350... tempting!

Went on a few water rides... just in time for it to get cloudy!

Tried on some ridiculous looking hats on our way out of the park after watching a cool light show on the bay in Universal!
