This is what happens...

when it's super quiet at our house. A few nights ago we had sat down to have family scripture study before bed. Addy ran off, which happens quite often. After a few minutes of realizing that she was being extremely quiet, I got up to check on her. This is what we found!




She was standing in the toilet! When she saw me she just started laughing. I think she thought it was actually a lot of fun! She did go potty earlier that day... which leads me to believe she might have felt the urge to go... who knows!




On a different note... Addy has become extremely attached to her "meow hat". She will not leave the house without having it on even though it is around 50 degrees out. Addy will also leave it on once we get home and wear it around the house. The other night she actually wore it to bed! Thanks Aunt Jenna!

Sunshine at the Coast

Yesterday was too gorgeous too just let it pass us by. I had heard on the news that it was going to be sunny and warm at the coast! So, we hopped in the car and headed to Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. The Smith's joined us in our fun outing and we were so glad they came with us! We got Salt Water Taffy, watched the Blow Hole, played on the beach, went to the Outlet Malls, and ate dinner at Mo's. It was so nice to be outside and soak up some sun! I have missed that burning ball of gas in the sky lately. And the Clam Chowder was a perfect ending to a wonderful day! Addy has never been to a beach! She was super excited at first... however, her first encounter with sand was not love at first touch. She may have cried a little because her hands were dirty. This girl does not like having dirty hands! As Addy was walking around she was talking nonstop to herself. She had a lot to say about the beach.

Reading and Laughing

Addy loves to go in her room and read to herself. When she is done reading she'll close the book and say "all done". It's pretty cute. She knows quite a lot of words (not by reading of course, but by the pictures). She has also recently learned how to open a closed door... not good! We need to be sure that we always have our front door locked now.

French Braids

I attempted french braiding Addy's hair today for the first time! She didn't hold very still, but I still managed. I never really learned how to french braid, so I still need a LOT of practice. They turned out okay... I think. What do you think? Right after the last picture the right braid fell out... bummer!

19 Months!

We have a smart little girl on our hands! She knows most of her letters! I'm not sure if this is "normal", but I did not expect it so early! My mom got her a letter puzzle for Christmas and she learned them that day!



Addy spends her days:

~Playing with her friends at work.
~Watching "Street".(Sesame Street)
~Reading books.
~Climbing on anything and everything.

Welcome Into the World Little Kennedy!

Tyler's brother, Cameron, and his wife, Camilla, received an addition to their family of two yesterday! Kennedy Adele Bendixsen She is beautiful! Lots of dark hair like Addy had. She was born 1/4/11 at 8:36 pm. Weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long! It will probably be a while before we get to see her little face in person, so for now pictures will have to suffice. I think she is gorgeous! So excited for these two!
