A Little Decor

I feel like I have been searching for the perfect "above our bed" option since we've been married. I finally put the few thoughts that I have had over the years into a compiled project. It's finished and I love it!



I have loved this saying for a long time and have been searching for a sign thing for awhile. I finally found the perfect one and I even got to pick the colors. I LOVE it! Simple and sweet!

I get this a lot with Addy. And just look at it!



It is getting so long! However, I have no intention of cutting it... ever!

Regular Occurrence

At our house this is now a regular occurrence....

Addy loves to climb on anything she can. She loves to sit in her toy box and pull out all the toys. This is what her hair looks like every morning. Amazingly enough she has learned how to move her head just right so that she can see through it. What a smart little girl! Love her to pieces!

Umatilla County Fair and Pro Circut Rodeo

This past weekend we had the chance to go to Hermiston and take part in the wonderfulness of the fair and rodeo! I must say that this fair is one of the best that I have been to. We are so glad that our friends the Smiths could join us for the weekend. We entered Addy into the beautiful baby contest. She got in the top 15 again, but apparently there are cuter kids in Umatilla County... doubtful!

We saw many an animal, rode some rides, and Marissa and I inspected the quilts. The Rodeo did not dissapoint. Unfortunately, Grated Coconut retired and was not able to join us this year... he needs to carry on his legend and have babies.

Addy loved the Carousel. They whole time she just kept saying "weeee, weeee". Occasionally she would stop look up at me and jabber sweet nothings.


Sunday we went over to Aunt Sheila's and had dinner with Tyler's cousins and their kids. Addy had so much fun with her second cousins and being able to run free outside. Here are some cute pictures on the swing... and one with Auntie Tess.

14 Months

I am pretty sure I accidentally skipped my 13 month update. Maybe it's because I was thinking about being done with them. I just feel like she is changing so much these days that I need to keep track!
Addy:
~running
~learning people's names (Spencer, Lexa, Jenna, Joe, Tess)
~HAS to bring her baby with her whenever we go bye-bye
~loves to read herself books and sit in her bumbo
~if she wants to go bye-bye she will bring me her shoes and back up to sit in my lap
~knows where to get her cheese and banana (she is actually saying the "ba" part now instead of just "nana")
~she will reach up for my hand while walking
~LOVES to walk by herself from a store to the car
~other new words are: milk, water, baby, binky, and snack
~if you tell her to come here she moves her finger in the come here motion (does that make sense?)
~Her favorite word is "YEAH!" right now.
~Addy loves her PB&J sandwiches... takes after her momma. :)
~ She got 2 new teeth, some nice big molars in the back on top. She now has 8 teeth.

Jenna, my sister, and Joe, my brother in-law, came for a quick visit Thursday night! It was so good to see them! They have been in Seattle since March and were just able to make it down. I wish they could have stayed longer! We went to the park, out for Korean food, and then to UU Yogurt. We also taught them 2 new games and they beat us at both of them! Not fair! haha Addy loved hanging out with Aunt Jenna and Uncle Joe. Addy was even so kind as to learn their names! She has been learning everyone's name lately. It makes me proud! Short and Sweet

I got my hair cut last week. I am really liking it! Before the cut it was at that awkward in between stage of growing out. I really wanted to grow it out, but didn't have the patience. Maybe next time! I was wearing up everyday and I just felt ugly. So... I now have a new look! It's the shortest it's been since high school (and we are SO not going back to that). What do you think?

Sorry the pictures of kind of lame... it's hard to take a picture for no reason, no motivation to smile or anything. Oh well!

She is learning so much!

Often times I think I forget that Addy is actually learning things. I just love to see how much she changes and learns from day to day.

When we ask Addy if she wants something she will walk to where it happens. Here are the examples that she does: When we ask her if she wants to go "night, night" she will first find her binky and then go stand by her crib. If we ask if she wants cheese she will go to the fridge and try to open it. If we ask if she wants a snack she will go to the pantry. If we ask if she wants to go bye-bye she will wave her hands (she has to use both hands whenever she waves) and walk to the door and proceed to attempt to open the door. If we ask if she needs a diaper change she will walk into her room and stand by her changing table and say diaper. It's so fun to see her learning all these new things!

Addy gets sooo soo so excited when her daddy comes home from school! She will stop whatever she is doing and run to the door to greet him! Tyler and Addy have a new game that they just love to play! In the video you will notice that Addy is crawling because Tyler is crawling. She loves her daddy so much!



We just got Addy her first real baby doll (non cabbage patch doll). She LOVES this thing. I did not think she would ever get attached to any one thing. Boy, was I wrong! She carries her baby everywhere! She loves to take it buh-bye. She loves to give it kisses and point to it's eye, nose, and mouth. I think it might be her current most prized possession. It's so sweet to watch her with it. She also loves to use the baby's binky.

At the store she would not let go of the box! We let her choose which one she liked the best and this doll won hands down! Once she found it she would not give it up. She loved having it out of the box and held it all the way home.

We had the chance to go to the Washington County Fair this past weekend. The weather was gorgeous! We had fun walking around, looking at the animals, and watching people. We didn't go on any rides since we will be going to the Hermiston Fair in 2 weeks! We're pretty excited for that and the rodeo!
