Christmas 2013

Oh Christmas!  One of my very favorite times of year.  Addy was so excited about everything this year.  So fun!  It's tradition in Tyler's family to go out to breakfast on Christmas Eve, so we did!  We went to Shari's.  It was yummy! After breakfast I went and got my mom from the airport.  We were so glad that she was able to come and spend Christmas with us!  We celebrated Grandma B's birthday Christmas Eve.  Connor arrived late Christmas Eve night and his nieces were so glad to see him!  It was so fun having all the family together.  I love the family I married into!  I'm so lucky!

Tyler's main present from me was a sign that I made for him.  It took me weeks and lots of time at Camille's house. His reaction was worth every single second of work I put into it.  He had casually mentioned to me a few weeks before Christmas that he would eventually like a sign that had some of his favorite verse (the last verse from How Firm a Foundation) on it.  I wanted to surprise him, and obviously, I did.  Please don't kill me for posting these, Tyler, but they need to be documented and put in our blog book. :)

Addy's Preschool Christmas Program

Addelyn's preschool class did a rendition of the story of our Savior's birth.  I am so glad that she is at a school where these things are being retaught to her.  I love that she understands the real meaning of Christmas.
She was Mary in the little play.  She did a great job!

Church Christmas Party

Our ward had a great Christmas Party.  It was a chili cook off.  There were some really amazing chilis.  Very yummy!  The primary kids sang a few songs and of course, Santa came to visit!  It was a lot of fun!

Ugly Sweater Party

We decided to throw our First Annual Ugly Sweater Party.  It was a blast!  We had a good turn out and everyone looked fabulous in their sweaters.  We had a contest, everyone voted and Camille came out on top with the ugliest sweater.  We ate some yummy treats and played a few games.  We also had a white elephant gift exchange.  Many of the gifts were hilarious!  It was a lot of fun!  I'm grateful for the friends that we have made here. 

Festival of Trees

My friend Camille has done Festival of Trees in the past.  I decided to help her this year.  It was a lot of fun.  It is a charity event/fundraiser.  We go around to local businesses and ask for donations.  Using the money that was donated we buy tree decorations and decorations to go with our tree.  Our theme was "Home for the Holidays".  I LOVE how it turned out.  Camille is so creative.  Our tree raised $1300. 

Snow!!!

We got some snow, it wasn't a ton, but Addy was so, so excited!  The minute she woke up she was outside playing in it. Our yard was covered in snow angels by the time she was done.
