Memorial Day... Even though it is SO not summer yet!

We had the opportunity to go to Sunriver, OR for Memorial Day weekend with Tyler's parents and brother, Connor. We were so excited to ride bikes, hunt for golf balls, golf, and swim. We were able to do all these things and more... despite the fact that it decided to snow on us! That's right... we rode bikes IN the snow! Isn't it supposed to be sunny and picnic weather Memorial Day weekend?! I think mother nature missed the memo this year! We played a lot of games, rode bikes a few times, ate good food, built a lot of fires, and sat in the hot tub. We really did have a great time and enjoyed the time with family!

Here's the snow, and yes it stuck to the ground!

Addy at the indoor pool. She was the youngest there and held her own!

She would get to the top of the slide and throw her head back and laugh. She was being so funny!

All ready for a bike ride in her new trailer!

Fun in the Sun and Pretty Nails

We've finally been getting some nice sunny days around here! I feel like we have been waiting extra long this year!
Addy and I got out and enjoyed playing at the park and feeding the geese with our good friends. When we got home we had a little nail painting party. Addy sat so till and was really good! However, she has proceeded to pick almost all the nail polish off her finger nails. Her toe nails still look cute though!

23 Months!

We are one month away from having a 2 year old! I can't believe it! I'm pretty sure that her "terrible twos" came a little early. When she's not throwing fits she is so fun to be around!
Addy:
~eats at least 5 clementines a day
~loves pretty much ALL fruit
~she's finally eating good dinners! she will sit with us (at the table, in a big chair) and eat whatever we are eating.
~She loves saying "where are you" to anything that she can't find
~Loves watching the birds and cats out our back window
~Would play out on the deck (with no toys) ALL day if I let her.
~started calling mommy "Tara"
~loves her big girl bed!
~can count to 13, sometimes 14
~loves to color a picture at least 3 times a day. She asks "color a picture?" in the cutest voice.
~loves to brush her teeth
~loves to peel the wrappers off all the crayons

watching the birds...

Mother's Day

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day! Tyler was so good to me! He made dinner and did the dishes after wards, he took care of Addy so I could get a nap in, he made me dessert. Addy got me an apple slicer and a sweet card that she colored. Tyler got me a new cookbook that I am sooo excited about! Apparently they have a blog, that I didn't know about. I will be checking that out too. I love being a mom. I would not trade it for anything in the whole world! I can't wait until I am able to stay home, full time, with Addy. I know that she has so much fun playing, while I work, but I'm ready to just be at home. I'm grateful for the other mother's in my life who are all such great examples to me! I have learned a lot from them and continue to do so.
I still need to get a picture of me and Addy, so this is all the pics for now. Lame, I know!

Do You Have Groupies?!

Tyler sure does! He's in a band...no big deal.
Our stake holds a Fifth Friday Open Mic Night, every Fifth Friday :). Tyler was asked to play the keyboard in a band... he was amazing! We were a little worried about Addy because it went until 2 hours past her bedtime, but she had a blast! She was very entranced by the music and even lied on the floor in the aisle and just watched. After a while, she discovered a slide, the stairs, and some toys that had been left out and had a blast with those as well. When Tyler was up she went and watched him and taught every one watching some cool dance moves! Those friends that live around here, I would highly recommend going! There were some very talented people there.

Here's the star of the show!

And of course, manning the stairs.
