Time For Tea and Time for Me!

This Saturday we celebrated two great birthdays! My friends, Megan and Marissa, have their birthdays two days apart. Besides, who would pass up a tea party with fabulous friends for any occasion? We got to dress up, eat little sandwiches, drink tea (herbal, of course), and have girl time! After a week of caring for a sick child it was so nice to have ME time!

Here are the lovely birthday ladies! Marissa and Megan.

Danielle and me drinking our tea!

A lovely cup of tea.

Such cute tea pots! Love them!

I love these girls!

The tea house supplies these hats and we could not pass up the opportunity to wear them for a picture!

I am so lucky to have such great friends while here in dental school. I don't know what I would do without them! I am also looking forward to the day when I can take Addy to a tea house and we can have a little tea party of our own!

What a Week!

Where to start! This week has had it's good times and bad times. Tuesday, I took Addy to the doctor. After 2 hours we found out she had RSV, Croup, and a double ear infection. Poor girl! I'm so glad I took her in! I was thinking about waiting until Wednesday to see if it would just get better on it's own. The doctor prescribed Augmentin, for the ears, Albuterol through a breathing treatment for the Croup/RSV, and Lortab aka Vikadin, (for her ears, throat, fever, whatever pain she was feeling)! She was quite a sight after having her first round of the pain meds. You could tell they were working because she was so happy! She was spinning, singing songs, and talking lots!

We took her back Wednesday and she was doing worse, but it was the 3rd day, which is supposed to be the worst day for RSV. We just needed to keep doing what we were doing. By Friday she was improving a ton! Except she still didn't have her appetite. She was not eating or drinking well at all. I was a little worried.
Saturday, I went to my yoga class and came home to Addy coughing so hard she was throwing up. We called the doctor and they wanted us to bring her in to make sure she was improving. They weighed her when we got there and found out she had lost 2 pounds in 3 days. Besides that, she was improving! Her ears were already looking way better and her breathing was better!
Sunday, she was doing MUCH better! Her appetite was back and her cough was much, much better! Yay!

Addy and her dinosaur breathing mask!

Addy spent a lot of time in her PJ's, sleeping (2 naps a day, one of which would be 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours long), watching Seasame Street, reading books, and doing breathing treatments. Rough go for this little girl!

A few pictures from Sunday... first time eating dinner in 4 days! Oh, and every time she eats something she throws a fit if we forget to give her a fork. She is becoming quite the pro at using one!

Happy Anniversary!

Yay for being married! Today Tyler and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary! It was 4 years ago today that he kissed me for the first time and we were married a year later! Tyler made me dinner! It was very nice and very tasty!

I'm so lucky to be married to the most amazing man. He is a wonderful husband, father, and man. It's crazy how our love for one another just continues to grow and grow. I love you babe!

We didn't do anything too fancy for our anniversary because we will be celebrating in Seattle over Spring Break! Yay!

Happy Love!

Happy Valentine's Day to all those I love! I'm grateful for the loves of my life! My handsome husband and my beautiful daughter. They make me laugh. I love them!
We made Valentine's for daddy today.
Here's a few pictures of Addy in her Valentines Day outfit!

Addy had fun coloring hearts for Daddy! I had fun making him a cheesy candy bar poster!

These are the beautiful smell good flowers Tyler got me for Valentines day!

Prom... After High School

Friday Tyler's school had a Prom Night. We went out to dinner with friends and then continued on to the dance! We had a blast! Tyler and I had never been to a dance before. It was fun to get all dressed up and hang out with adults! Thanks to Tyler's parents for being terrific babysitters! And of course we had to take a few classic prom pictures!

20 Months!

Addelyn is 20 months old today! 4 more months and I will have a 2 year old! I hope that she doesn't have awful terrible twos... I am kind of expecting her to. Haha

In the Last Month Addy Has:
~Learned her ABCs. She is constantly signing them to herself, while she plays, while she reads a book, while she's concentrating. It's super cute!
~Loves to open and close doors!
~Has learned how to get into the pantry. Oh no! She will close the door on Tyler and me when we are in a room, go to the pantry, get the chocolate chips, and hide! Cute!
~Her bangs are growing out... finally!
~She helps me pick out clothes and shoes while shopping.
~Started calling Tyler, "Tyler" instead of "Daddy".
~Tells me right before, or maybe a little after she has already started going, poo-poo or pee-pee in her diaper... potty training is just around the corner! I can feel it!
~Loves to sing "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Popcorn Popping".
~If she does something that she's proud of she says "Good Girl!" or "Good Job!".

She Moves, She Sings, and She Still Gets into Things!

I still LOVE watching Addy dance. The other morning I had some music going and she just came by in the kitchen and started dancing. I love it!

She loves to sing the ABC's (though she does skip a few letters here and there). Addy also loves to sing "If You're Happy and You Know It!" she says, "happy, happy... hurray!" and lifts her arm in the arm. It's pretty cute.

And of course... we are STILL child proofing! I finally put cabinet locks on where we keep our DVDs, so hopefully they will not always be strewn across the living room. I also sewed a little cover for our game shelf. I just put velcro at the top and bottom... it has kept her out this far! It's so nice to not be constantly putting games back together.

My beautiful creation!

She LOVES to be part of everything! When we read scriptures at night she will go stand by whoever is reading and talk nonsense until we listen. It's hard to keep reading over her because she just gets louder if you keep going!
